You do not have to be competitive athlete to be a highly respected participant in a sport. You can stay in shape, and you can be a model, a mentor for successful competitors, drawing more and more extremely talented students and / or teams to instruct. The tennis instructor is, (contrary to some people’s beliefs) often just as passionate about his or her career as any professional athlete, scientist, artist, and many, many more choice professionals.

The exciting, challenging, and physically demanding, recreation as well as competitive sport, to be specific: tennis. But of course, the same notions apply to many sports. Of course, my absolute preference for both recreational as well as a great means for the purpose of cardiovascular exercise, is dancing.
